Pokepath TD Guide

Complete guide to Routes, Evolution, and Strategy

This Pokepath TD guide is for players who found the game through “pokepath”, “pokepath td”, or “poke path”, and want a clear, practical walkthrough.

PokéPath TD is a Pokémon tower defense game where you manage a team and defend against escalating enemy waves across 9 different routes. You level up and evolve your Pokémon to survive tougher waves, and your progress is designed to keep moving forward—even after defeats.

1) The core loop (what you should do first)

  1. Pick a route and learn the enemy flow (where enemies stack, where they split).
  2. Build a small core team you actually like using.
  3. Spend early gold to stabilize your defense.
  4. Push waves until you hit a wall, then adjust strategy and keep progressing.

💡 The game encourages trying different team setups in different areas, and swapping strategy when you get stuck.

2) Routes Strategy

Because PokéPath TD spreads content across 9 routes, your strategy should be route-specific.

  • 🛑 Chokepoints favor slow/stun/AoE setups.
  • 🏹 Wide lanes favor range and flexible repositioning.

Use the route layout to decide what matters most: pure damage, control, or coverage.

3) Leveling & Evolution

Leveling and evolution are the backbone of long-term progress.

  • ❌ Don’t try to level everything evenly.
  • ✅ Pick 3–5 “workhorse” towers early.
  • ✅ Change team composition instead of grinding weak lineups.

4) Auto Mode (AFK Farming)

Best used when:

  • • You already understand the route’s pacing
  • • Your team is stable
  • • You’re farming resources without micromanaging

manual play is usually better for pushing new waves.

5) Essential Controls

  • See RangeX
  • Move PokémonL-Click
  • View DataR-Click
  • Game SpeedShift

6) Dealing with Stealth / Invisible Enemies

Murkrow/Honchkrow can attack invisible enemies. AoE/splash damage also helps. Bring at least one stealth counter, then let your main damage clean up.

7) Save/Import Guide (.txt) — Don’t Lose Progress

⚠️ Browser Version Warning

The developer explicitly warns that the browser version can be unstable. If you play in the browser, export your save as a .txt after each session.

Export .txt

  1. 1. Menu → Export
  2. 2. Download .txt file
  3. 3. Store safely

Import .txt

  1. 1. Menu → Import
  2. 2. Load your .txt file
  3. 3. Restore progress

8) Browser vs Desktop: Which one should you play?

🌐 Browser

Fine for convenience, but you MUST export saves often.

🖥️ Desktop

More stable, priority updates, less risk of data loss.
